Starting assumptions for this first version. You can adjust them as you try it.
Clears remaining heat from all earlier loadings. Your indoor temperature and future loading times stay as entered.
About these estimates
Wood presets assume seasoned, 18-inch pieces with the volume of a 4-inch-diameter cylinder and 70% useful efficiency. These are approximate reference pieces, not exact measurements of your wood.
Heat loss uses floor area × insulation coefficient × indoor/outdoor temperature difference × wind factor. Temperature response uses a simple thermal capacity; useful wood heat is released over the selected duration. The current stove curve rises to a peak one-third of the way through the duration, then tapers to zero. It is a simple triangular approximation, not a measured stove profile. Home thermal mass controls temperature change per BTU, separately from this curve. The oil furnace is assumed able to maintain its minimum.
Seasonal memory and rain heating penalties are intentionally deferred. Solar uses radiation once. Wood-energy source.
